Start by clicking on the “Add Product” option. A form has been provided for your convenience, allowing you to fill it out accordingly and have your products added seamlessly. Help pop-ups The question mark in each section pops up helpful tips to make the steps clearer and easier for you. Product Name A product title should be simple, memorable, and clearly reflect what the product is or does. It should stand out from competitors and appeal to the emotions or needs of the target audience. The name must work across different cultures, be easy to search online, and have available trademarks or domains. A good product name is unique, meaningful, and leaves a lasting impression while being flexible for future growth. Product Category The product category should be chosen based on the product’s main purpose and features, aligning with standard e-commerce classifications like electronics, fashion, or home decor. It should be intuitive for customers to find and searchable through filters or keywords. A well-chosen category improves navigation, enhances visibility in search results, and ensures the product reaches the right audience effectively. A sub-category is a specific division within a main category that helps organize products for easier browsing. For example, under “Women,” sub-categories like “clothing” or “shoes” can be used. Sub-categories should match the product’s style or use, making it easier for customers to find what they need. Product Type Add the type of your product. On Mallshark, all products are either Simple or Variable products. In addition to these base product types, sellers can enable two special features—Unique Product and Custom Product—depending on how the item is sold or personalized. 1.Simple Product A simple product is a single item with no variations in size, color, or other options. It is straightforward, sold as-is, and does not require the customer to make additional selections. For example, a plain white T-shirt in one size or a specific book title is considered a simple product. 2. Variable Product A variable product offers multiple options or variants, such as different colors, sizes, styles, or other attributes, allowing customers to choose the one that best suits their preferences. You can select from the available variants, or in some cases, customize your own variation based on the options provided. This flexibility enhances the shopping experience, enabling customers to find the perfect match for their needs. Examples include a shirt available in different sizes and colors or shoes that can be personalized in terms of material or design. 3. Unique Product The Unique Product option allows sellers to list exclusive, limited-quantity, or custom-made products on Mallshark. For example, imagine you are selling a painting that is available in limited stock—only one piece exists. Although the painting is unique, customers can choose from different frame types such as Wooden, Metal, Black, or Golden. In this case, the painting is your main (parent) product, while the frame types are added as product variations. Because the painting itself is one of a kind, you would turn the Unique Product option ON, set the stock limit to 1, and then add the required variations. If a customer purchases the painting with any one of the frame options, the entire product will be marked as sold out, and all remaining frame variations will automatically be set to Out of Stock, since the painting cannot be sold again. How It Works When adding or editing a product, you will see the “Unique Product” toggle. Turn this option ON if the product is special or limited in quantity. Set the total stock limit for the item (e.g., 1 piece for a unique handcrafted pendant). Add your product variations such as sizes, chain lengths, colors, etc. Once the product is sold out, all variations will automatically be marked as Out of Stock, and customers will no longer be able to purchase the item. Access to This FeatureThe Unique Product feature is available only upon request. If you want this option enabled for your seller account, please contact our support team, and we will activate it for you. 4. Custom Products The Custom Product feature on Mallshark enables sellers to create personalized shopping experiences by allowing buyers to customize products before placing an order. Sellers can define custom fields such as text entries or image uploads, ensuring each product is tailored to the buyer’s individual preferences. This feature works alongside Simple and Variable products and is best suited for customized or made-to-order items. Once you click Define Custom Style after adding the basic product details, you will be redirected to the Customization Setup page. On this page, you can configure how buyers can personalize the product by defining the customization options you want to offer, such as text fields or image uploads. Once you are redirected to the Customization Setup page, you will begin by defining how buyers can personalize the product. This setup is designed to guide you step by step while giving you full control over customization quality and pricing 1.Choose the customization type ou will first select one of the following options: Text Image Both This choice determines what kind of customization a buyer can add. If Both is selected, buyers can choose either adding custom text or uploading an image while placing their order. 2. Configure text customization If text customization is enabled, you will start by setting a character limit. This defines the maximum number of characters a buyer can enter and helps ensure the text fits properly within the product’s design area. You can then define text styling options, including: Available font styles Text colors Text textures or finishes, such as engraved, embossed, debossed, printed, stitched, or raised effects These options allow you to maintain design consistency while still offering buyers meaningful personalization choices. 3. Configure image customization For image customization, you can specify the minimum image dimensions required for uploads. This ensures buyers provide images of adequate resolution and quality, preventing issues such as pixelation or distortion during customization and production. 4. Set customization pricing Finally, you can define a customization fee. This fee represents the additional cost for personalization and is charged separately from the base product price. It helps cover the extra effort, materials, or processing time required for customized orders, while remaining transparent to buyers. By completing these steps, you create a clear, guided, and professional customization experience for buyers, while retaining full control over customization options, quality standards, and pricing. Product Images and Videos Product images are essential in online shopping as they help customers make informed decisions by showing details not covered in text. High-quality images build trust, boost sales, and reduce returns by setting clear expectations. Organize images for different variations to enhance the shopping experience. Upload images in 800×800 pixels for optimal display and speed, and include multiple angles or features. For variable products, categorize images by variations like color, size, or style to help customers visualize their options. You can easily display a product video on your Product Display Page (PDP) by adding its YouTube link. To do this, go to your Seller Center and open the product you want to edit. In the product details section, you will find a field labeled “Video URL.” Simply paste the YouTube link of your product video in this field and click Save. Once saved, the video will automatically appear on your product’s display page, allowing customers to view it directly while browsing your product. Product Thumbnail A product thumbnail is a small image that represents a product on a website, often shown in search results or product listings. It helps customers quickly identify the product. When choosing a thumbnail, use a clear, high-quality image that clearly shows the product, even in a small size. Stick to simple, well-lit photos with a neutral background, and focus on the product so it’s easy to recognize. If the product has different options, choose the most popular one for the thumbnail. To engage and attract customers, you can include a video showcasing your product along with a detailed description. This will provide a more immersive experience and highlight your product’s features effectively. Product Price To add the product price, SKU, and stock for all variants, start by entering the price for each option (such as different sizes or colors) under the pricing section. Each variant should have its own SKU, (although SKUs are optional) a unique code that helps identify it (like a specific code for a red, small t-shirt). Next, set the stock quantity for each variant, so the system can track how many are available. For images, link them to the appropriate variant using the images you have already uploaded. You can edit your variation or simply delete a variant by clicking on the icons under “actions”. Product Details A product short description is a brief summary that highlights the key features or benefits of the product. It should be clear, concise, and give customers a quick overview of what the product is and why they might want it. In the short description, include important details such as the product’s main features, materials, size, or benefits, but keep it short—ideally one or two sentences. The goal is to grab the customer’s attention and encourage them to learn more about the product. A product description is a detailed explanation of a product, giving customers essential information about what it is, how it works, and why they should buy it. It should clearly outline key features, benefits, and important details such as size, material, color, and care instructions. You can also describe how the product can be used or highlight any unique qualities it offers. To make the description more engaging and informative, you can add multiple images in the detailed section. This provides additional visual information, helps showcase different angles or usage scenarios, and enhances the overall appeal of the product. A well-crafted product description helps customers better understand the product and make informed purchasing decisions. Keep the tone clear, informative, and easy to read Product Specifications A product specification explains what a product is made of, how it works, and what makes it unique. It usually covers details like size, weight, materials, colors, special features, and technical information that help customers fully understand the product before buying. When adding specs to your product listing, use clear and concise language, list the most important points, and think about what questions a customer might have. Good specifications do more than describe—they show the product’s value and help shoppers feel confident they’re choosing the right item. Keywords To add keywords, enter relevant terms that describe your product and what potential customers might search for. You can add multiple keywords—at least 3—so include variations and synonyms to improve visibility. For example, a “red leather jacket” could include keywords like “men’s leather coat” or “stylish outerwear.” The more relevant keywords, the better the chances of appearing in search results. Product Measurements and Weight Provide the precise dimensions and weight of the product to ensure accurate information for customers and facilitate seamless shipping and handling. Shipping Options Now we arrive at one of the most crucial steps: selecting the shipping method. This step determines how the product will be delivered from you to your customer. Shipping and Fulfillment FAQs The final step is to include FAQs that anticipate customer questions, helping to clarify any uncertainties upfront.
